It provides warmth without producing any light, allowing the pets to sleep comfortably even at night. The bulb emits no harm, so you won't have to worry about your pets getting hurt, making it safe to use in their brooder coop. The downside of this bulb is that it is hard to tell if it is on or not, as it is entirely dark when it's working. The issue may be solved by touching the bulb or placing your hand near it to feel the warmth. This bulb may also present a safety issue if left unattended, as one customer reported it melted after running for 16 days straight to keep puppies warm. Another customer said it was too hot from the bulb base, recommending heating bulbs (250w) with white bright light or red light. Despite these concerns, several customers raved about the product, saying it worked as well as a heat lamp.
