YALE SECURITY V197 Jimmy Proof Deadlock features heavy-duty construction with a reliable key lock mechanism. Users have praised the quality of the lock, emphasizing its robust metal design compared to cheaper alternatives. Many find it effective for securing doors, especially when used as a night latch for added safety. However, installation can be time-consuming, requiring various tools and techniques to ensure a perfect fit. Some users also noted that while it provides solid performance, the key mechanism can be tricky, as you must turn the key back to the lock position to remove it. Overall, it is viewed as an excellent value for its quality and security features.
