Pencil First Games Dedicated Deck Card Games PFX1300 Editorial Review
**** The Pencil First Games Delicious Card Game emerges as an artful and engaging experience, delighting players with its charming theme of herb gardening. Unlike most intense card games, it provides a relaxed atmosphere that is reminiscent of a day spent at a farmer's market, albeit with a competitive edge lurking beneath the surface. Players quickly find themselves immersed in a playful tug-of-war over herbs, navigating both their personal gardens and a communal space filled with strategic choices. The game is wonderfully simple, making it accessible for both newcomers and seasoned gamers. Each turn involves easy actions of drawing and placing cards, embodying a delightful blend of strategy and spontaneity. This approachable gameplay allows for casual fun or the possibility of a more competitive, tactical game when desired. Visually, the game impresses with beautiful illustrations by Beth Sobel that add to the overall experience. The addition of writing pads and pencils for “flip-and-write” mechanics sets Delicious apart from other titles from Pencil First, ensuring a unique experience even for those familiar with the brand's offerings. Players note the game's versatility for both solo sessions and small gatherings. With simple rules and different strategies to explore, it becomes a go-to option for those looking to unwind or toss into a game night’s rotation. Whether stealing that last herb from a friend or basking quietly in solo play, Delicious seems to excel at offering a lighthearted yet satisfying challenge, making it a versatile addition to any game collection. Overall, the reception of the Pencil First Games Delicious Card Game is overwhelmingly positive, with players praising its art, simplicity, and engaging gameplay that caters to a variety of player styles. **
