David Guetta (Artist) Format: Audio CD Dance & Electronic Editorial Review
**** David Guetta's "One Love" stands out as a significant addition to the dance music scene, particularly for mainstream audiences in America. This collection of tracks manages to bridge the gap between hip hop and house music, reflecting Guetta’s mastery over the turntables and his keen ability to blend genres. Listeners have praised the album for its infectious energy and Consistency, noting that it can be enjoyed from start to finish without the need to skip tracks. Many fans appreciate Guetta's decision to incorporate a variety of well-known guest artists, including Kelly Rowland, Akon, and Ne-Yo, which adds a familiar flavor to the tracks. Hits like “When Love Takes Over” and “Memories” have been highlighted for their standout qualities, creating a feel-good vibe that resonates well with fans of dance music. Although some tracks may blend together due to the similar stylistic elements shared by featured artists, the overall experience remains enjoyable. While the title track "One Love" received mixed reviews — with some viewing it as overly commercialized — the majority of the album is treated as a cohesive and masterful selection of songs that showcases Guetta at his peak. Critics have pointed out the album's impressive replay value, noting that it’s not only catchy but also captures the essence of modern dance music. For those accustomed to dance tracks, the remixes and second disc offer an engaging listen, although they may cater more to hardcore fans of the genre. Overall, "One Love" is celebrated for successfully bringing dance music back into the mainstream, making it a fitting and enjoyable album for both casual listeners and die-hard fans alike. **
