The ATT Digital Answering System Black 1740 is an easy to setup answering machine that comes with a power adapter for AC power source. It can be accessed remotely and has a separate unit that plugs into the wall (phone) jack as well as the phone. However, it does not have the capacity to rewind and fast forward, and there seems to be some concern regarding the sound quality of incoming messages. Overall, the setup process is straightforward and the product is easy to use. It is great for those who are looking for a small, compact answering machine that does the job. However, the sound quality may be an issue for some customers.
