WindowAlert Hawk Anti-Collision Decal (SE7015) - UV-Reflective Window Decal to Protect Wild Birds from Glass Collisions - Made in The USA

The Songbird Essentials WindowAlert Hawk Anti-Collision Decal SE7015 has garnered mixed reviews from customers, reflecting a varied experience among users in terms of effectiveness and value. These UV-reflective decals are designed to reduce bird collisions with windows, a common issue that leads to significant bird fatalities. Many users have noted that the decals can be effective in preventing bird strikes; one user reported a noticeable reduction in collisions after applying the decals, indicating that they work well in practice. However, customers have raised concerns regarding the cost and recommended usage. The manufacturer suggests using multiple decals—ideally placed every foot apart—for optimal effectiveness, which many found impractical and expensive. Each package includes just two decals, prompting frustrations over the need to frequently replace them every six months to a year, which could add up to a substantial expense. For those seeking a more economical approach, one reviewer creatively repurposed the decal packaging to create additional small reflective dots, ultimately achieving satisfactory results without overspending. While the decals do function as intended for some users, effectively reducing the number of strikes, others have voiced skepticism about their claimed UV protective qualities. In one instance, a user tested the decals under UV light and found them lacking, suggesting a potential misrepresentation of the product's features. Additionally, while some customers appreciate the aesthetic of the decals, others noted that they might not always be effective against particularly determined birds. In summary, while the Songbird Essentials WindowAlert decals serve a critical purpose in bird safety and have shown success in reducing collisions for some users, their high recommended usage rate and the need for frequent replacements pose significant downsides. The balance between effectiveness and cost remains a pivotal point of contention among Consumers. **
