However, it is important to cycle the tank before adding any fish, which can take 4-12 weeks, and to keep the tank cycled to maintain the fish's health. The LED lights are bright enough for aquatic plants to thrive, but it is important to buy the right kind of plants. The tank comes with a pump, which is nice and quiet. Customer feedback: - The lid came cracked, but it doesn't affect use. - The filter became really loud after a few hours, which was disruptive. - The integrated LED lighting is handy. - The supplied filter is not strong enough for some fish, and a separate filter had to be purchased. - The lid is plastic and came cracked, and the water leaks every time the water level is kept at the white frame. - The tank is cute and worth the money. - Looks amazing and overall pleased with the aquarium.
