The Red Wing Heritage Men's Iron Ranger Work Boot is not ANSI approved and not puncture or oil resistant. They are not light boots, but rather sturdy and comfortable. The leather is soft yet thick, and the Vibram soles are perfect. Some customers have found that the boots run a little large. Although they do not come in wide width options, they conform to your feet with wear, making them comfortable for those with wide feet. One customer received a factory blemished pair with scuffs and a misshapen right boot sole. Another customer had a poor experience as the boots did not fit their feet. That being said, customers who found the right fit and quality have noted that they are the best boots they have ever owned, and they highly recommend them.
