Detalles de producto
- Your child takes everything apart. Now give them a real problem to solve. Most engineering books for kids are fact lists or craft kits with instructions. This one puts your child on a real engineering team, at a flooded library path, and asks them to think like an engineer from the very first page.Three moments straight from the story:The problem. The path looks ordinary until the first wheel reaches the water. The lesson. Keep them, Maya replies. Just do not let them cover the problem. The test. A test is not a performance. Its job is not to make the design look good.Ten chapters, one real site. Your child observes, measures, sketches, builds a model, watches a test fail and fixes it.A story, not a worksheet. Written for ages 7 to 12, so even reluctant readers keep turning pages.Real engineering careers. Civil, mechanical, electrical and environmental engineers each solve their own part.Failure done right. A test goes wrong, and the team finds the cause instead of someone to blame.A field notebook to use. Fill-in pages that turn a sticky door at home into a design challenge. For the grown ups. Parents get screen-free reading that builds patience, evidence and teamwork. Grandparents get a gift with more inside than plastic. Teachers and homeschool families get a ready STEM career unit with the design process woven into the story.Add it to your cart today and give that curious builder a team to join.A brilliant gift for birthdays, Christmas, stocking stuffers, science fair season and any curious 7 to 12 year old who loves building and fixing things.
